(based on Alli Fronzaglia’s article (Your Boulder Holiday Shopping Guide for Outdoor Enthusiasts)
The co-founder of Boulder Hiker Chics, Alli Fronzaglia, recently wrote a great article titled “Your Boulder Holiday Shopping Guide for Outdoor Enthusiasts.” I recently became a member of the Boulder Hiker Chics, which is a fun club for women that enjoy hiking and each other’s company. Alli’s article encourages Boulderites to shop locally for the holidays and gives some shout-outs to Boulder’s best local businesses.
In addition to this great list, I’d like to add a few of my favorites:
Boulder Running Company. This store has fit my shoes for over 10 years, and the staff is knowledgeable and uses treadmills to understand your gait before recommending shoes to you.
Boulder Bicycle Works. If your bike could use a tune-up or repair, check out Boulder Bicycle Works. These guys tuned-up my bikes (that had been in storage for years due to deployments in the Navy) and got me back on the bike paths in just two days.
Newton Running. Great spot for running shoes catered to the tri-athlete and naturally responsive shoes. Check out their shop downtown.
Boulder Roadhouse Depot. Once you are ready for a break from your holiday shopping, check out the new restaurant in Boulder Junction.
Enjoy this holiday season, and hopefully you’ll be able to find a perfect gift for that outdoor enthusiast in your life.
