CU MBA Students Seek Adventure: Go White Water Rafting

CU MBA Students started the summer off with a group camping and white water rafting trip with Echo Canyon River Expeditions.  CU MBA Alumni, Jesse Burns, organized the event and even guided one of the boats down the Arkansas River.

Following lunch, our crew descended even further down the Arkansas River to experience the fast paced class III and IV rapids more than 1000 feet below the Royal Gorge Bridge. Seeing the rock formations up close and going through the Royal Gorge is a must do for those who enjoy white water rafting. If you aren’t sure if white water rafting is for you, try out Echo’s gentle family float where you can try it out on a gentle portion of the upper Bighorn Sheep Canyon. The scenery is gorgeous.

Don’t feel like driving up to Canyon City so early in the morning?  Make an affordable weekend of it. Stay right across the street at the Echo Campground. It’s a small, well maintained campground and can accommodate RVs, tents and has a house and smaller cabins to rent. They received great reviews that are well deserved – I stayed at Echo campground two nights and highly recommend it.
